What is the longest low compression golf ball on the market today? I’m looking for a ball with max distance and low spin off the driver, but with ideal iron and wedge spin into the green. I’m currently using the Bridgestone B330RX. Is there anything better for a golfer with a slow swing speed?

Apollo fourteen golf ball Q. How far did it travel? How much further would…(more info. Given)? On the Apollo fourteen mission to the moon, astronaut Alan Shepard hit a golf ball with a golf club improvised from a tool. The free-fall acceleration on the moon is 1/6 of its value on earth. Suppose he hit the ball with a speed of 35m/s at an angle twenty-six degrees above the horizontal. A) How long was the ball in flight? Answer=19 seconds B) How far did it travel? C) Ignoring air resistance, how much farther would it travel on the moon than on the earth?

The intial vertical velocity was thirty-five sin twenty-six = 15.3m/s time of flight on a level surface is 2v0 sin(theta)/g = 2*15.2m/s / 1.6m/s/s = 18.9s Range = v0^2 sin(2*theta)/g = 35^2 sin(2*26)/1.62 = 596m range varies inversely with g; since g on earth is six times greater, the range is 1/6 as much, so the range on earth is 596/6 m and the distance on the moon = 5/6*596 m greater than on earth

After seeing these in Golf Digest hot list for the last few years, I thought I would try them. I am a fifteen handicap golfer that is been playing for seventeen years or so. I have recently been on a golf ball kick where I tried about ten different brands to see what was new out there. The brands included Titleist Pro V1, Pro Vx, Top Flite Gamer v2, Callaway Hx Hot Bite, Callaway Diablo Tour, Taylormade Penta, Slazenger, Fuzz (low compression) and these Bridgestone E6′s. My #1 priority in a golf ball is soft feel and confidence off the club, but at the same time, I do not want to lose a four dollars golf ball each time I hit one in the woods. It needs to fly straight off the driver, but spin on the green with irons, which is usually a challenge to find such a golf ball that can do both. So, in comes the mid-price-range golf balls at about two dollars per ball. These E6′s feel very soft, fly true, are durable, and instill confidence. Out of all the golf balls I used recently, these are the ones I’ve reordered to play with for the next few years until I try the new ones out again. I’ve a tendancy to spray some of my driver shots about thirty yards off center, which this ball seems to have cut down to about ten yards off center (still in fairway) while performing soft, precise, spin shots around the green, unlike the

Does the golf ball have to come to rest in the cup before you can take it out? I've swiped it out as it was still kinda rolling around down there in a couple tournaments – is there a penalty?

I’m a bogey player. I was hitting the fairway with my drives about 50% of the time. Now with the Polara golf ball I’m well over 80% on long drives. On par 3′s it’s even a higher %. One easy way to determine how straight this ball travels is by how many balls you lose in eightteen holes of golf. Prior to the Polara I would lose about two balls in eightteen holes. Now I lose one ball in about thirty-six holes of golf. A major improvement. Hacker John

By definition, the ball is holed when it’s at rest and all of it’s below the lip of the hole. If you touch your ball while it’s in motion, there is technically a one-stroke penalty. I've never seen anyone call this penalty.

The golf ball hog doesn’t work. The ball scoop portion is too light and just bounces over golf balls.

What is the magnitude of the impulse applied to the golf ball by the floor? A golf ball strikes a hard, smooth floor at an angle of = 33.4 and, as the drawing shows, rebounds at the same angle. The mass of the ball is 0.055 kg, and its speed is fourty-five m/s just before and after striking the floor.
